Reports of Hate and Bias Increase Per 3rd Annual Statewide Report
Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum today received the third annual report from the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission (CJC) on data from 2021 regarding hate crimes and bias incidents in Oregon. The Oregon DOJ Bias Response Hotline (Hotline) received the most reports in its history, with 1,683 reports made to the Hotline in 2021.

Oregon Hate Crime and Bias Report Shows Surge in Incidents Published: 03 July 2021 SALEM, OREGON--Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum last night received the second annual report from the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission (CJC) on 2020 data on hate crimes and bias incidents in Oregon. In total, 1,101 reports were made to the Oregon DOJ Bias Response Hotline (1-844-924-2427) in 2020--a 134% surge in reporting in the second half of 2020.
