Fernando Arroyos, a Los Angeles police officer fatally shot during an armed robbery attempt on Jan. 10, was remembered at a service Wednesday.
Hundreds of California cops turned out to pay their respects to slain Los Angeles Police Officer Fernando Arroyos Thursday – a 27-year-old who died in a shootout with a group of gang members who attacked him as he was house hunting with his girlfriend last month.
Federal prosecutors charged four people with killing Officer Fernando Arroyos as a violent crime in aid of racketeering for the Florencia 13 gang.
Like many in L.A. who are shot in senseless gunfire, Arroyos was of this city, a young man who had a life to live, only to have it snatched away.
The officer, who was identified yesterday as 27-year-old Fernando Arroyos, was found by LA County sheriff's deputies in an alley after they responded to a call on the shooting at 9:15pm.
