What a year it's been for South Africa's bakkie market. More than 15 new bakkies were either launched or made their premieres, with the latter en route to our shores in 2021/2. The biggest bakkie news this year was, undoubtedly, the arrival of the heavily revised Toyota Hilux. Launched locally at the start of October, the bakkie sees an increase in power, revisions to its suspension, cosmetic updates, and improvements to the interior.
