Muscat: More than 5,000 bottles of alcoholic beverages have been seized during a raid by the Investigation and Risk Assessment Department at two sites used by expats in the wilayat of Baushar.
A statement issued online by Oman Customs said: "The Investigation and Risk Assessment Department raided two sites for expatriate workers in the wilayat of Baushar, which were storing smuggled alcoholic beverages, resulting in the seizure of more than 5,900 bottles of alcoholic beverages."

Muscat: More than 20,000 boxes of prohibited and restricted cigarettes have been seized by the Investigation and Risk Assessment Department.
A statement issued online by Oman Customs said:" The Investigation and Risk Assessment Department raided a site in the wilayat of Sohar and seized more than 20,000 boxes of prohibited and restricted cigarettes, after tracking the shipment that was hidden in boxes of mineral water."
