New Delhi, May 28 : Two people have been arrested from Greater Noida for cheating over 50 Covid patients and their family members on pretext of providing home delivery of oxygen cylinders, Delhi Police said on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shahdara, R. Sathiyasundaram said that Vivek Vihar police station personnel arrested the two fraudsters Ritik Kumar Singh, of Bihar s Ara district and Sandeep Panday, a resident of Uttar Pradesh s Ghazipur who used to make promises to provide oxygen cylinder at doorsteps, received money through digital transactions, and then, disappeared. ....

New Delhi [India], May 27 (ANI): Delhi Police has arrested a 21-year-old man, who claimed to be a social worker of a youth organisation along with his associate for allegedly duping Covid-19 patients and their families on the pretext of providing home delivery of oxygen cylinders.
Two mobile phones and SIM cards used in the commission of the crime were also seized.
In an official statement on Wednesday, Delhi Police said that Ritik Kumar Singh, who claimed he is a social worker and president of youth organisation India Youth Icon Team with 18 lakh members, and his associate Sandeep Pandey cheated over 50 people, belonging to many states, for lakhs of rupees, since April 2021. ....

Key accused runs a social media group
The national president of a social media group and his accomplice were arrested for allegedly cheating families of COVID-19 patients by promising to provide oxygen cylinders at the doorstep, police said on Wednesday.
The accused have been identified as Ritik Kumar Singh (21) and Sandeep Panday (28), both residents of Greater Noida, they said.
Singh claimed that he is the national president of a social media group called ‘India Youth Icon Team’, headquartered in Greater Noida, which has 18 lakh youth as active members or followers across eight States, the police said. ....
