Parts of Wales braced for heavy rain and flooding PA Parts of Wales are braced for heavy rain on Friday, which could lead to flooding. An amber weather warning for rain has been issued by the Met Office for much of the south of the country, which it says will “likely” lead to homes and businesses being flooded and communities cut off by flooded roads. Natural Resources Wales (NRW) is advising people to be vigilant and to know their flood risk as heavy rain is predicted to cause flooding across South and Mid Wales today (Friday, December 18) and into Saturday, with parts of South Wales set to feel the worst effects.
