Rochford pub Horse and Groom left with water damage after flooding
A Rochford pub which was hit by floods has been left with water damage after a nearby reservoir burst its banks. Fire crews were called yesterday (January 14) around 11am to the Horse and Groom pub - based on Southend Road - with reports it had been flooded. By the time the team had arrived, the building was already found to be in "very deep water". The Rochford Reservoir sits close to the pub, which is situated around four metres below the river level.
