a big announcement from nintendo. wii fans get ready to chuck your nunchucks. a new system with a tablet-sized controller is in the works it s called the wii-u. it functions like a traditional controller but it also has a 6.2-inch screen built right inside of it. reporter: outside gaming nintendo says it can serve as a secondary web browser, video chat tool, even acting as a scale so gamers can weigh themselves. it will be backward compatible with wii games and certainly wii input devices. reporter: nintendo hasn t said how much it will charge for the wii-u. and you will have to wait a wee bit longer before one lands in your living room. nintendo s launch date simply some time after april of next year. whoo! rob hayes reporting for abc news. you can hardly contain your enthusiasm. for all this. that was a lot of enthusiasm.
