Students at Charlottetown Rural High School are hoping to get a closer look at their school mascot, the osprey, now that they have installed a new platform on a pole. It's the latest osprey platform on Prince Edward Island to provide a view of the large birds of prey.
Nature observers in Charlottetown and Summerside have been busy logging different species of birds, insects, trees, plants, animals, and even fungi as part of the 2024 City Nature Challenge. They use the iNaturalist app to share their finds and add to their tallies in the hopes of scoring bragging rights.
Even with the September 18th reopening announcement, there’s some hesitation.
