The global pursuit of mitigating climate change and achieving the net-zero target has urged implementation of various distributed energy resources such as solar, wind, batteries and electric vehicles (EV). Unlike conventional sources, Distributed Generation (DG) are intermittent and decentralised. Hence, understanding the dynamic influence zone of DG units is essential for maximising renewable energy resources and also, planning and management of spatial load/generations. This paper addresses a novel probabilistic visualisation approach to identify and assess the dynamic influence zones of DG units using a polar histogram by considering line current flows. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, simulations were conducted on a 33 bus distribution system using real time load data and considering three case scenarios with and without DG. ....
