A 38-year-old accused escaped from the principal sub-court premises in Coimbatore just before the verdict was to be delivered in a 2013 robbery case. The accused was sentenced to seven years of rigorous imprisonment in his absence. A non-bailable warrant has been issued against him, and a special team has been formed to arrest him.
