The burglary took place at an estate along Lansdowne Way in Lambeth on the evening of Sunday April 18. At around 5.30pm, a 17-year-old boy answered a knock on the door to a stranger who, along with two other men, forcibly entered his home without permission. All were armed with weapons including a firearm and knife. The young boy was held at the address for around three hours alongside four other occupants, all threatened at gunpoint, a police statement described. ....

The case was featured on BBC One’s ‘Crimewatch Live’ today (Friday, 12 March) as detectives continue their investigation to identify the violent robber. On Wednesday, 29 July 2020 between about 14:30hrs and 15:00hrs, the victim was waiting at a bus stop in Cambridge Park, Wanstead. She was on the phone to her mum when a man on a white bike rode towards her, from the direction of the Green Man roundabout. As the man got level with the woman, he kicked her in the stomach and snatched her white iPhone X from her hand before riding off at speed towards Wanstead Tube station. Three men who posed as delivery drivers to force their way into the south London home of a terrified mother and her young children have been jailed for attempted robbery. Ryan Roche, 27, of Melbourne Grove, Southwark, was sentenced to four years and three months’ imprisonment at Inner London Crown Court on January 15, while Jeamelle Baptiste, 28, of Juniper Road, Crawley, was sentenced to three years and 11 months. Cavelle Robinson, 26, of Grange Road, Croydon, was sentenced at the same court on 8 December 2020 to three years. The court heard that at about 6.50pm on Friday, July 3, Robinson drove Roche and Baptiste to near an address in Dulwich. ....
