Rocket Lab has announced a new $14.49 million task order award from the U.S. Space Force (USSF) to launch another Electron rocket from Virginia’s Eastern Shore.
Rocket Lab said it was awarded a $14.49 million task order by the U.S. Space Force to launch an Electron mission from Launch Complex 2. The mission, called Space Test Program-30, falls under the Space Systems Command Assured Access to Space organization and is part of Orbital Services Program-4.
Rocket Lab USA will launch an Electron vehicle to support the Space Test Program-S30 mission under a task order awarded by the U.S. Space Force. STP-S30 will deploy to orbit technology demonstrations and research experiments for the Department of Defense and support future development of space systems, Rocket Lab said Monday.
From a launch perspective, Rocket Lab USA Inc. has always been focused on execution.
