There was no riot. there wasn't a mob. there wasn't a demonstration. why did they think they could actually get away with that? i think part of the answer is they thought that the media would not dash would not work on it, and look at the way they handled it. they went after romney ease statement for three days. ambassador killed for the first time in 30 years, and that was the whole media analysis for three days, and they thought the media's not going to look into it. we can ride this out until election day and after election day it doesn't matter. >> bret: steve, does this come up in the deb...
