The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) on Tuesday vowed to implement more stringent security measures following the seizure of about P4.9 million worth of party drugs at the Manila Central Post Office.
Authorities had conducted operations and apprehended a certain Ron Ron Salonga, of Port Area Manila while in the act of claiming a parcel containing the alleged ecstasy or “party drugs” at the Manila Central Post Office Parcel Division.
More or less, a total of 2,878 tablets were found hidden along with clothes, shoes and other personal items.

BOC NAIA, PDEA ,NAIA-IADITG intercept P4.9M worth of 'party ecstasy drugs', apprehend claimant

PASAY CITY, Feb. 15 -- As part of the Bureau of Customs’ (BOC) mandate to protect the country’s borders and support the administration’s war on drugs, Bureau of Customs Port of NAIA, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG), in a controlled delivery operations, nabbed today February 15, 2021 in Manila Central Post Office, the claimant of a package containing 2,878 tablets of ecstasy or “party drugs” worth P4,892,600.
A certain "Ron Ron Salonga" from Port Area, Manila claimed said parcel at around 12 noon today and was immediately apprehended by the authorities.
Records show that the shipment declared as “2 Women Clothes, 1 Kids Clothes & 1 Shoes” was sent by a certain “Mary Lumbao Edward” from the Netherlands and was consigned to a certain resident of Malate, Manila.
