Sentinel Correspondent FAIRMONT– The Fairmont School Board heard from Fairmont High School Speech co-coaches, Kathleen and Erik Walker, on Tuesday. The pair spoke about their team’s successful but challenging season which took place virtually. “Normally they perform in front of others at other schools but we were always at Fairmont High School. Apr 21, 2021 FAIRMONT– The Fairmont Park Board met Monday night to discuss updates on area park items and introduced the CER Spring and Summer catalog. At Ward Park, rehab has started on the shelter and the bathroom area. The roof has been torn off and shingles were installed this week. At Gomsrud Park down by the playground the grass is needing to be reseeded, but water is needed before that project can begin.
