Local and federal authorities are investigating reports of several people testing positive for THC after eating Angelo's Amore brand ice cream.
The Newmarket Police Department did not say how many people fell ill from eating the ice cream, but noted that the group included one child.
Several customers who ate Angelo's Amore ice cream at Roots Local Cafe and Catering in Newmarket on March 17 and 18 tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
The culprit seems to have been a 3-gallon tub of coffee Oreo ice cream produced by the store’s previous owner.
