47-year-old man charged in Rosedale stabbing, police say

Baltimore County Police arrested a man in connection with a stabbing in Rosedale.County police said officers were called around 4:30 p.m. Saturday to the 1000 block of Sumter Avenue, where a 21-year-old man walked out his house as the suspect walked nearby. Police said the suspect, who held a knife, began yelling at the victim before running to him and stabbing him multiple times in the upper body.The victim was taken to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition.The suspect, James John Marchsteiner III, 47, of Rosedale, remained at the scene and was arrested, police said. Marchsteiner was charged with attempted first-degree murder. Police said an investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
