The Pahiatua Track will be closed during the day for five weeks as maintenance work is done on the road.

Contractors are working to clean up a "helluva lot" of cream that has been spilt on SH3, north of New Plymouth.

The road will be closed between Monday, July 12 and Thursday, July 15 from 9am to 4pm. It will close on Friday, July 16 from10am to 4pm, and between Monday, July 19 and Thursday, July 22 from 9am to 4pm. The road will also be closed on Friday, July 23 from 10am to 4pm. l’Anson said this was the final block of scheduled repairs for Saddle Rd this season. “We know that the closures can be disruptive and inconvenient, so we thank motorists for their patience and understanding as we work to make the road safer.” There would be detours through the Pahīatua Track.
