Nuada, which started as a spin-out from Queen's University, has developed a carbon capture technique.
Capital investor BGF is backing a Northern Ireland business innovating in the field of next-generation carbon capture to help firms meet global climate goals.
BGF, one of the largest and most experienced growth capital investors in the UK and Ireland, has invested £3.4 million in Nuada (formerly MOF Technologies), a UK-based company that is redefining the capture of carbon dioxide from foundational and hard-to-abate industries.
Funding is an extension of Series A round that raised £4.5m
BGF's early-stage team invested almost £70m in a range of businesses across the UK and Ireland during 2022, predominantly operating in life sciences, climate and sustainability and deep tech.
