WARWICK — Little Rowan Shaw, 2½, is putting up a big fight against high-risk metastatic neuroblastoma, a pediatric cancer that produces fast-growing tumors. He has heavy artillery fighting for him in Boston, where he endured nausea and lack of appetite during chemotherapy and was radioactive for weeks so doctors could research a new liquid radiation treatment.
