rti: Intelligence Bureau exempt from rigours of RTI: Delhi HC

The Delhi High Court has dismissed a plea for the disclosure of information by the Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the RTI Act. The appellant had sought information regarding a recruitment examination and alleged irregularities in the process. The court stated that the IB is exempt from the RTI Act as it falls under the Second Schedule. It added that unsubstantiated allegations of corruption cannot be used as a basis to direct the disclosure of information. The appellant had requested details including his marks, cut-off marks, OMR sheet, and model answer key.
