Agencies collaborate for youth development

THE state government is collaborating with 20 government agencies and government-linked companies for youth development initiatives.
Johor tourism, youth and sports committee chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said over 100 initiatives were expected to be rolled out by this month.
“The state recently organised a video conference with relevant agencies where they shared their initiatives and programmes with Johor youth.
“Mentri Besar Datuk Hasni Mohammad had announced RM50mil for youth initiatives which is by far the biggest ever allocation, ” he said when
contacted.Onn Hafiz said there were plans to build a Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Centre in each district.
“The facilities will include meeting points, indoor and outdoor sports, wall-climbing, parkour space, jogging track, amphitheatre and many others.

Make full use of govt funding to start online businesses

JEMPOL: Traders should make full use of funds provided by the government to market their products online, said Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

He said while the Movement Control Order (MCO) was being enforced to curb the Covid-19 transmission, they should utilise all possible opportunities to generate income.
“Today I visited entrepreneurs under the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (RISDA) ... and to see how the small and medium sized businesses are doing and what they have achieved.
My advice to these entrepreneurs during the MCO is to take advantage of the opportunities available to start an online business and not to be disheartened. We have seen how the pandemic has increased sales for online companies, as consumers have turned to online shopping.”.
