What is your identity? By Del Duduit - Contributing Columnist Most of my interviews with professional baseball players are quick hits. I grab them for a few moments before a game and talk about their faith or what or who has inspired them to be a better person. I honor their time because I am at their place of business. A Major League Baseball locker room and field is their office, and I take that into consideration. A good interview might last four to five minutes. I count that as a major win, because I can usually produce two or three devotional chapters from that one conversation.

The CPE is a large Christian book trade show that also provides workshops and training for those who want to learn more about the Christian publishing industry. There is a large exhibition floor as well as entertainment and exclusive movie premieres. Angie and I got to see a preview of Overcomer at CPE before it hit the theatres two years ago. We all have special needs Everyone faces challenges. I was never promised a daily walk through the rose garden, although a stroll through a Tim Horton’s coffee shop might be a little better. There are times when I feel happy – especially when I am around my grandkids. They have a unique way of showing unconditional love. Happiness is a choice, but there are circumstances that might influence your emotions. It’s not a happy time when a loved one passes. It’s difficult to be happy when you lose your job. I could go on, but you get the point.

No room for bitterness Have you ever thought you deserved more recognition and never got it? It’s happened to me, and I’m sure it’s taken place in your life. I’m not bitter, but there have been times I have wondered why. And that’s okay. Perhaps an incident in your life has become an obsession.
