When Ryan Berg thinks of The Voice, he thinks of coffee. LILY NICKEL LISBON — Students at David Anderson High School have been given the all clear to start a field research project on the historic Sandy and Beaver Canal in Willow Grove Park. During Tuesday’s village council meeting, Councilwoman Dawn Thomas said a state grant will be funding these projects for all of the schools along the 73-mile long canal in Ohio. A STEM teacher from DAHS contacted Thomas to get permission to begin the project, and Thomas brought it before council where it was approved unanimously. Staff Writer LISBON — The community swimming pool is unlikely to reopen this year for a second consecutive summer, as village officials continue to search for funds to repair it. The pool was closed last summer in response to the COVID-19 virus, and village councilman Ryan Berg reported at this week’s council meeting that it will probably remain so this year.
