Students at Grand Forks Central and Red River high schools earned honors in competitive events at the North Dakota SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference recently in Bismarck, according to the Grand Forks school district.
SkillsUSA is a national organization that serves students in trade, industrial, technical and health occupation programs in public high schools, career and technical centers and schools, and two-year colleges.
The students who placed in the SkillsUSA competitive event categories each received a medal. They included Grand Forks Central High School students Mark Cabunsura, third place in computer programming; and Sophia Pringle, Reyna Lindquist and Jakob Stevenson, who placed first, second and third, respectively, in technical drafting.
