Ohio State's Henrick, Leclaire, Terefenko: Humble Warriors

Ohio State was hitting its stride when the 2020 season shut down. The 5-2 Buckeyes finished off Notre Dame and approached the Big Ten schedule carrying an underdog mentality reminiscent of their 2017 NCAA Tournament run. “The senior class was all in. We had 10 guys who were committed to finishing it out. The rest of the guys bought in. It was 10 guys all together on the same page,” says midfielder Ryan Terefenko. “It had that 2017 vibe of seniors who knew what needed to be done and do whatever it took to get there. That was the most connected team I’ve had in four years at Ohio State....

Men's Lacrosse: 2021 Season Preview

I know, I said that I would do a B1G preview first, but we all need something to look forward to after what happened last night. So, here we go. First up, is there going to be a season? No one knows. The Patriot League is optimistic, having dropped their spring schedule on Friday, though many are in New York which is currently a dumpster fire for scholastic athletics. Serving in Northern Afghanistan only re-emphasized that and re-energized his love for lacrosse. There’s something about a team, everyone working to a common goal, everyone playing their part, sharing in glory and disappointments, having those shared experiences, that really is the joy of life. “The real world’s tough, it’s scary. Actions matter. I think that the way...

Men's Lacrosse News and Notes

Coach Myers was on a stream giving an interview about the fall and the state of the team. Not much really to report that we didn't already know, except that players report 11 January and the first game is supposedly on 13 February. There are currently no away games planned, but that's because of how uncertain the future is. No clue on how the B1G schedule will shake out, if it does. Lots of uncertainty. Also, congratulations to Ryan Terefenko, who was named preseason Midfielder of The Year, and an All-american! Big recognition for a man who has forged himself into a tremendous player. And co...
