Take SOPs seriously even if fully vaccinated | Daily Express Online - Sabah's Leading News Portal

The State Government is urging the public to take the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) seriously even after completing both doses of the vaccine.  
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic) said out of 1,002 new cases recorded in Sabah on Sunday, 181 have been vaccinated, with 94 having received their first dose and 87 completed both doses ....

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah on Sunday recorded another high of 818 new Covid-19 cases, a spike from 712 on Saturday, while two deaths were recorded in Tawau and Papar.

(pic) said close contacts still accounted for most of the caseload with 364 cases (44.5 per cent). 
“Once again, it needs to be emphasised that Sabahans must strictly abide by the Movement Control Order standard operating procedures (SOPs) to curb rising cases,” he said in a statement, Sunday.

He added that existing clusters contributed 148 cases, 104 cases from targeted screenings and 103 cases from symptomatic screenings.  ....

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah set a new record high as cases shot up to 712 on Saturday from 516 on Friday, while a new high of eight deaths were recorded – three in Sandakan and one in Kota Kinabalu, Penampang, Kudat, Tawau and Beluran, respectively. 
Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun 
(pic) said 53.8 per cent of the caseload are close contacts (383 cases) which possibly indicates the people’s complacency in complying with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). 
“This spike in cases reflect that many still do not fully comply with the SOPs.
