Ridmi Sakunthala the athlete turned volleyball player Daily News (via HT Media Ltd.) Athlete, Sabaragamuwa University Captain, Sri Lanka under 19 and Sri Lanka Universities Volleyball player Harambage Ridmi Sakunthala Fernando has brought honour and glory to her Alma Mater Dhammissara National School Nattandiya Sabaragamuwa University and her motherland. Ridmi Sakunthala Ridmi was admitted to the Grade One of Dhrmarama Maha Vidyalaya Mahawewa in 2002 and she was there for two years and from there she joined Sri Gunarathana Maha Vidyalaya and she came under Mrs. Pushpika and she was in that school from Grade Three to Eight. When she was in Grade 7 and 8 she did High Jump, Long Jump and 100 metres and both these years she swept the board in all three events and became the under 12 champion.
