Floor price in share market : After 18 months, BSEC yesterday withdrew the floor price for most stocks, to bring back vibrancy to the market
Floor price for stocks is neither an investor-friendly nor market-friendly mechanism so it should not be reintroduced again, said Saiful Islam, president of DSE Brokers' Association (DBA).
The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) yesterday withdrew the floor price for most of the stocks, 18 months after the measure was imposed, a move that is expected to bring back vibrancy to the market.
