The Times-Mail MITCHELL — A Mitchell, Indiana man arrested in January on charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of syringes was found not guilty by a jury on Tuesday. Michael Huff, 43, was released from Lawrence County jail Tuesday after approximately 175 days in jail. His cash-only bond had been set at $200,000.  December 16, 2020 (LAWRENCE CO.) – Lawrence County Council members approved giving a stipend to some Lawrence County employees from COVID-19 relief funds. The last Lawrence County Council meeting for 2020. David Flinn served Lawrence County residents for 16 years. Jim Edwards has served the Lawrence County Council for 22 years. Both Councilmen terms ended this year. Lawrence County full-time employees who were hired before December 1, 2020, will receive $1,000 and permanent part-time employees will receive $500.
