Project Cheer brightens holidays for Schuylkill families

Rodick, of Frackville, and his three children, Joseph II, 15, Samara, 13, and Noah, 11, were among six families who received presents and bins of meals Saturday in the social hall at Continental Hose Company No. 3 on Main Street. They were given out as part of Project Cheer, which aims to make Christmas brighter for families in need of help.
Those that arrived to receive gifts and food were treated to pizza, milk and plates of cookies on six individual tables before being read “Twas the Night Before Christmas” by Santa Claus, assisted by Frackville Public Works Director David Kupusnick, a borough resident. Mrs. Claus was also on hand, assisted by Kupusnick’s fiancée, Tammy Zipp, of Pottsville. A hot chocolate bar was also available. ....
