There is a water crisis in new neighborhoods on the outskirts of Phnom Penh, according to fed-up residents who say the taps are often dry at the boreys, or gated communities, they live in.
This year’s dry season is no different from last year, with people in the suburbs of Phnom Penh beginning to complain about the lacking of clean water. Officials from the Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA) have asked residents to be patient, saying that this will be the last year of water shortages.
