The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman in Ezza North local government area, Ebonyi State, Peter Nweke, who was beaten to a coma by hoodlums during Saturday’s governorship and state assembly elections, has been confirmed dead.    This was confirmed by the spokesperson for the police command in Ebonyi, Onome Onovwakpoyeya, who said the PDP chieftain died from injuries he sustained from attacks by hoodlums suspected to be political thugs on Saturday.
