Johannesburg Beats Lagos, Cairo, Others To Rank Most Culturally Vibrant African City

The Creative Vibrancy Index for Africa (CVIA) has ranked Lagos as the third most culturally vibrant city in Africa in its ranking of how 12 African cities support and enable the arts, culture, and creative industries.      The CVIA gave Johannesburg in South Africa the highest overall ranking score for creating the most enabling environment for creativity, followed by Cairo in Egypt and Lagos in Nigeria. Marrakech in Morocco, Tunis in Tunisia and Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo were ranked the least enabling cities.
