After several complaints from private school parents, the commissioner organised a meeting with the principles of the private schools in the PCMC jurisdiction. He instructed the school authorities not to send a representative, but said the attendance of the school principal was mandatory. There are 625 private schools in the twin towns. Patil told the p r i n c i p a l s , “Several students have lost their parents due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Schools should come forward to adopt their educational responsibility.
