Jaunpur: Allahabad HC grants bail to ex-MP Dhananjay Singh
Former MP Dhananjay Singh has been granted bail by the Allahabad High Court, but his plea to suspend or stay a seven-year imprisonment sentence in a 2020 kidnapping and extortion case has been refused. Singh will be released on bail but cannot contest the election. His wife, Srikala Reddy, is contesting elections from the Jaunpur constituency on the Bahujan Samaj Party ticket.
