Brookfield Asset Management is reportedly planning to list its luxury hotel chain, The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts. The Canada-based asset manager had earlier committed to investing over '1,500 crore in the hotel chain, which was the largest-ever foreign investment in the Indian hospitality sector. The move comes as India's hospitality sector has rebounded strongly post-Covid-19, with a surge in demand for premium experiences. Other luxury operators like Marriott International have also seen a rise in deals, indicating a positive trend in the sector.

Juniper Hotels, promoted by the Saraf Group and Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and backed by its positioning in the luxury hotel development segment is the largest owner of Hyatt-affiliated hotels, said Elara.

Juniper Hotels opened at Rs 365 (which was also its day's low), up 1.4 percent over the issue price of Rs 360, and extended upward journey up to Rs 401.50 on the NSE, an intraday high.

The company will finalise the basis of allotment of IPO shares by February 26 and its equity shares will be credited to demat accounts of successful investors by February 27
