Katsina emirate council dismisses district head for allegedly aiding banditry
Punch Newspapers Sections Published 23 May 2021 The Katsina State Emirate Council has dismissed Sarkin Pawwan Katsina, (district head of Kankara), Alhaji Yusuf Lawal, over alleged aiding and abetting banditry in the district. The emirate had initially suspended Lawal in April. He was, however, dismissed on Friday after the emirate received a letter from the state government, which also allegedly indicted the district head of all the allegations levelled against him. Daily Post Nigeria Published The District Head of Kankara LGA also known as Sarkin Pawa, Alhaji Yusuf Lawal, has been sacked by the Katsina Emirate Council for aiding and abetting banditry activities in his domain. The District Head, who was suspended last month, April 30 2021, was found guilty of all the charges levied against him by the committee set-up to look into the issue.
