The city has completed work on the westbound lanes of the Circle Drive bridge, which included new interior barriers, scaffolding and concrete repairs.
About $67.19 million has been set aside for roadwork and bridge rehabilitation this season.
The rezoning proposal needed for the idea would affect 528 8th Street East, 1100 to 1122 blocks of Broadway Avenue, and 529 7th Street East.
