Snowflakes. there are a lot of people enjoying snow, but for many people in buffalo, it s been damaging. many people out and about in parts of buffalo last week had problems along parts of i-90 trying to get from one area to another, especially say buffalo back towards erie. it just wasn t happening. the heavy snow that stacks up on the roofs, you have a little bit of temperature activity, and a little thaw and it refreezes, and it creates ice dams on overhangs and roofs. the snow continues to mount up and doesn t slide off and you have the sheer weight causing the roofs to fail. you see structure failures on mobile homes. rough times there, and more snow in parts of erie. thankfully, not that i want bad things to happen in places like erie but it appears buffalo will be spared. ....
