Daimler Truck has unveiled the production version of its battery-electric long-haul truck. With a battery capacity of over 600 kilowatt hours, a range of 500 kilometers should be possible. Sales will start this year, and series production is scheduled for the end of next year. By 2030, up to 60 percent of sales in Europe could be electric trucks, says Daimler Trucks' Karin Rådström, head of the Mercedes-Benz Trucks brand.
