The school board also voted to ask the federal court to approve a future division of the school zone for South Shades Crest Elementary and Brock's Gap Intermediate into two separate K-5 school zones.
The proposal is to rezone the planned Everlee community from Deer Valley Elementary to South Shades Crest Elementary and Brock's Gap Intermediate School, and to eventually make South Shades Crest and Brock's Gap both K-5 schools.
