The European Union has provided another EUR 12 million for Nepal’s agriculture and EUR 4.7 million for School Sector Development, according to a press release issued by the Delegation of the European Union to Nepal.
KATHMANDU, July 17: The European Union (EU) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nepal's vital sectors by allocating EUR 12 million (approximately NPR 1.7 billion) for the Agriculture and Rural Development Program and EUR 4.7 million (approximately NPR 660 million) for School Sector Development.
The School Sector Development Plan (SSDP) is a major education initiative by the Government of Nepal, which runs from 2017—2023. It aims to improve education access, equity, and quality, with programs such as the implementation of a model school program. The Asian Development Bank and its financing partners are supporting this initiative.
