CALGARY -- Worried about further spread of COVID-19 as case numbers continue to rise across the province, government officials — and infectious disease experts — are urging people not to gather over the Easter long weekend. On Wednesday, Alberta recorded its highest number of active cases since Jan. 25 (8,300) and its highest daily count since Jan. 13 (871 new cases).
