Pedestrian killed, driver injured in Lubbock County rollover crash Staff reports A pedestrian was killed and a driver who attempted to avoid him was injured after a rollover-crash early Tuesday on U.S. Highway 84 in Lubbock County. Scott Christopher Ely, 56 of Shallowater, died at the scene of the crash that was reported about 5:25 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. 84 about 1/2 mile west of County Road 1700, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
