Death row inmate Jemaine Cannon, 51, was executed on Thursday after being convicted of fatally stabbing Sharonda Clark, 20, with a butcher knife in 1995 after his escape from a prison work center.
Cannon was convicted in 1996 for stabbing a young mother to death. He is the second person to die by lethal injection in Oklahoma this year.
Jemaine Cannon, 51, is scheduled for execution at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary on July 20.
