Mid America Steel public meeting, May 20, 2021. FARGO, N.D. – The first of two open houses regarding downtown Fargo’s Mid-America Steel site was held at the Civic Center Thursday night. After two arson cases in March and April, and a variety of contamination issues, 10 buildings on the city-owned property along the riverfront are expected to be torn down within the next few months and the city is looking at options for development for the site.
