Word has been received here of the passing of former resident Melody Garnett Parry, 59, of Columbia, who passed away May 23 at BCJ Hospital in St. Louis. She attended elementary school here when her mother, Maxine, taught at Jamestown School and her father, Rodney Garnett, owned and operated what was previously Steiner's John Deere dealership on Mill Street.
