Never buying Toshiba HDD again. uselessoldman » Fri Apr 16, 2021 2:29 am Few years back I bought a couple of Toshiba X300 5Tb drives. They were the cheapest so yes that should tell you something but you would still expect them to last if your not going to beat them to death. Anyways, first one died inside 12 months so I got my money back and now the second one has followed, this was used for archiving only so hardly used if ever. Both were in fact my Kontakt Library master/archive so not used much and certainly not thrashed like other drives. Moral of the story, you get what you pay for? ...
